The group runs a weekly seminar series, covering papers,
projects, and events related with our research. These seminars
are open to anyone on Chalmers or GU who wishes to attend.

Analysis of compartmental traffic models
This thesis proposes a novel modeling approach to describe the traffic flow
in urban networks by applying the compartmental models in discrete time
domain. Compartmental models meet the requirements of positivity, and the
full the mass-conservation law. The obtained compartmental traffic model
has a bilinear structure. Several properties of the matrix representations
of the model have been examined. Conditions on stability in linear Lypaunov
sense, and local controllability are given. The compartmental traffic
system can be decoupled into subsystems, if certain conditions are held.
Suggestions for controller synthesis are presented.
