Examination
Each student is evaluated through two compulsory homework
assignments with report submission and oral examination. Each
student is allowed to work in a group of at most two students.
Although both students in a group
submit only one report for each homework assignment, the garde of
each student is based on individual perfromance duing the oral
examination.
Each homework assignment carries total 60 points and is graded (scale is U, 3, 4, 5) as follows:
If your score < 24, then the grade for this homework is U
If 24 <= your score <36, then the grade for this homework is 3
If 36 <= your score <48, then the grade for this homework is 4
If 48 <= your score, then the grade for this homework is 5
To pass the course, the score for each homework assignment must be equivalent to a grade of 3 or above. Given that the grade for each homework is 3 or above, the overall final grade (scale is U, 3, 4, 5) for each student is assigned based on her/his average points of two compulsory homework assignments as follows:
If your average score < 24, then the final grade is U
If 24 <= your average score <36, then the final grade is 3
If 36 <= your average score <48, then the final grade is 4
If 48 <= your average score, then the final grade is 5
