- Gödel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid, by Douglas Hofstadter, 1979. This book is about logic and computer science, but also about philosophy, art, and music. It is a great read! (Chalmers library link)
- Fermat's Last Theorem, by Simon Singh, 1997. This book describes the history behind Fermat's famous Last Theorem and its proof, which was finally completed by Wiles in 1995. Singh is a great writer, recommended! (Chalmers library link)
- The Code Book, by Simon Singh, 1999. A popular scientific description of cryptography, from historical methods to modern methods. Singh is a great writer, recommended! (Chalmers library link)
