19 Aug 2013: For those who didn’t see, the re-exam is on Tuesday the 27th of August, 8:30-12:30, in Väg och vatten.

21 May 2013: Since quite a few people didn’t submit lab 3 in time, I have reopened submissions until this Friday (the 24th). Don’t forget about the Haskell compendium (under resources) that might help you!

If you have missed the final deadline for a lab, there is an extra chance to pass by showing it to me (Nick) personally. I will be in my office (5463) between 1pm and 5pm on the 3rd of June for anyone who wants to do this. You will need to submit your latest solution to Fire before you come — please email me at <nicsma@chalmers.se> with your group number to get Fire reopened. If you want to do this but can’t make the 3rd of June, email me and we can arrange a date and time.
13 May 2013: There are now exercises for all the lectures up until now.
13 May 2013: More exercise solutions have appeared, thanks to Staffan!
12 May 2013: The final deadline for lab 2 has been extended to the 14th of May (this Tuesday).
2 May 2013: The third and final lab is now up! It’s about implementing red-black trees.
28 Apr 2013: There are now solutions to the exercises from weeks 1 and 2 available! Thanks to Staffan Björnesjö for doing them. Answers to more exercises will appear in due course.
25 Apr 2013: The final deadline for the complexity hand-in has been extended to next Tuesday, the 30th of April.
24 Apr 2013: There will be an extra lab session on Monday 29th April, 10-12! This is to make up for the fact that Tuesday and Wednesday are red days. It’s in the usual place, 3354 and 3358.
24 Apr 2013: Lecture 7 is now up. (P.S. I have not been announcing on the website when I upload the lecture slides — they just appear shortly after the lecture. I will probably continue not announcing this :))
23 Apr 2013: The second lab is now up (deadline 3rd May), along with exercises for last week and this week.

10 Apr 2013: Lecture 3 is now up. I have put up the book chapters for Friday’s lecture too; I will try to do this in advance in the future!
9 Apr 2013: The hand-in is now up! It’s about complexity. The exercises for the second week are also up.
22 Mar 2013: The slides from the second lecture are up! They cover binary search and complexity, as well as a simpler proof of the complexity of dynamic arrays from lecture 1. You might want to try some of the exercises about complexity.
21 Mar 2013: Some of you have been having trouble registering. The student office say that the registration page should now be open until tomorrow (Friday). If you still cannot register, you should email them at student_office.cse@chalmers.se (and tell me).

"This semester you have to register online in LPW at the Student portal. The registration is obligatory in order to attend the course.

Note that you need to register yourself on the course the same day as the first lecture otherwise you will lose your place.

To pass the course you must pass a written exam and also pass the labs. You should do the labs in pairs, unless you get permission from Nick to do it alone. There are also optional exercises you can do.
