Computational methods in bioinformatics (2017-2018)

2017-12-03 Please select the session when you would prefer to give your Practical 4 presenatation via this Doodle poll.
2017-11-21 All of the papers listed on the course pages should be accessible from within the Chalmers (and probably also GU) network. If you are not on campus, you can use VPN (Virtual Private Network) (Windows, Mac, Linux). If you have difficulty accessing any of the materials, please let me know.
2017-11-08 When the new Fire system was initally set up, only the Chalmers course code (TDA507) was listed. The University of Gothenburg course code (DIT741) has now been added. Please ensure that the correct course code is selected in your profile.
2017-11-08 Several people have had problems registering with the Fire system. Therefore this course will instead use the new Fire system for assignment submissions. It is not possible to transfer solutions between the old and new systems automatically. If you have already submitted your solution to the old Fire system, please register with new Fire system and resubmit your work. The deadline for Practical 1 has been extended to 2017-11-09 at 23:59 to give time for everyone to make a submission (or resubmission) to the new Fire system.
2017-10-16 Later in this course you will find it useful to look at protein structures with molecular visualisation software. You might want to take a look at RasMol, UCSF Chimera, Jmol or PyMOL. RasMol and UCSF Chimera are installed on the Chalmers Linux system.
