Structural Bioinformatics (2011/2012)
Lecture GK-14
Combinatorial docking and structural proteomics
Aims
-
To describe a method for combinatorial docking.
-
To introduce structural proteomics.
Objectives
After this lecture you will:
-
understand how combinatorial docking can be used to predict the
conformations of large macromolecular complexes;
-
be aware of the aims of structural proteomics;
-
understand, a method for fitting high-resolution molecular structures
into envelopes derived from low-resolution data.
Supplementary Material
Some of the lecture slides are available on-line
(PDF).
"The Inner
Life of a Cell" is the result of a collaboration between scientists at
Harvard University and a scientific animation company.

commentary is available on the Harvard University web site.
