The European Nucleotide Archive is the Europe's primary nucleotide sequence resource, and is based at the European Bioinformatics Instituite.

The UniProt Knowledgebase (UniProtKB) is the primary data resource for protein sequences. It contains both automatically annotated protein sequence records that are translated from EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database entries (UniProtKB/TrEMBL), and high quality manually curated protein sequence records (UniProtKB/Swiss-Prot).
