Mid-period meeting of evaluation team for course EDA 343, DIT 420

Discussion/Minutes:

* Changes since last year: 
- visual aids at slides (more video, animations)
- assignment 3 updates
- assignment 1 FAQ document
- the course support team includes one incoming assistent, one outgoing


* Communication, lectures, load, supervision:
- assignment 1: the conditional get case needs some more advice (is "extra", but included in the test cases); check for class collisions (naming)? (teacher: will check for next year)
- some student(s) would like to explicitly mention in assignment 1 (about http) that one needs to study the http-related sections tought right before the assignment start (same)
- Slides: feel many for some students, ok for others; (teacher: will check the possibility of publishing a short and a long version)
- other lab/wireshark (teacher: will examine the possibility depending on budget and resources for next year)
- excersise-classes good and helpful, but the assistant could respect time a liitle more (starting, ending)
- Bonus form parallel course on cisco routers? (teacher: can check with other teacher, cannot promise)
- excercises: since solutions should not be openly distributed in the web (restriction by 
the book authors), there will be some password-protected notes available (with a warning that 
this should not be distributed further and that it does not contain complete solutions, but 
rather notes to help students verify if they are on a good track in their own solution)
- web page: may need splitting (teacher: will check for the future, depending on resources)
