Here follows a list of example presentations you can choose for Task 3.

TED talks

TED has a huge collection of wonderful talks. Please pick one that is related to Computer Science.

Here is a list of TED talks with the keyword 'computer'.

Note that TED talks have a very special structure, and some of the techniques the speakers use would not work well in a more serious setting. But still, one can learn a lot from TED talks.

Conferences

Here is a list of conferences that have their talks online.

  • CCS 2016, the ACM Conference on Computer and Communications Security. There are also playlist for older CCSs.

  • ICFP 2017, the International Conference on Functional Programming. There are also playlist for older ICFPs.

  • CHI 2017, the ACM Conference on Human Computer Interaction. There are also playlist for older CHIs.

    Bonus talks

    These are just fun. Perhaps not immediately suitable as objects of study in this course.

  • "standupmaths" has some wonderful mathematics presentations, most notably Equations that correspond to Vortex motions and Matt talks about a thing (very short).
