Since Fall 2016, I am an Associate Professor in Computer Science and Engineering at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothengurg (Sweden), where I research and teach in the area of real-time computer animations based on the physics of motion, or Physically based animation. Before then I was a Senior Lecturer (2014-2016) at Chalmers, and an Assistant Professor (2011-2014) at Sapienza University of Rome (Italy). Before Chalmers, I was a Visiting Professor (2014) at Telecom Paristech in Paris (France), researching in the area of affective computing. I also briefly visited Disney Research Zurich (07/2017) and University of New Mexico (04/2018). I received a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Sapienza in 2009, jointly with Linköping University in Sweden, and a Laurea degree in Computer Engineering (equiv. to BS and MS) from Sapienza in 2004.
