After completion of this course, the student should be able to:

Motivate and give the design rationale for decisions in an interaction design process.
Apply user evaluation methods in practice.
Apply design methods systematically.
Create and critically compare concept ideas.
Identify needs and requirements of specific intended user groups.
Predict the potential effects for all relevant stakeholders of a design.
Carry out a design project from concept to working prototype adhering to given constraints.
Critique a design based on aesthetics and expression.
Present design proposals to a critical audience.
Present and document work through both oral and written presentations.










The grades for the course are U,3,4,5 (Chalmers), and U, G, VG (GU).
The grades are weighted as follows:

Project 45%
Report 15%
Reading circles 20%
Essay 20%
(planning, performing, presenting)
(written, web, video)
(presentations, workshops)
(individual assignment)

To pass the course you must:
Actively participate in all lectures, exercises, presentations etc.
Actively participate in all phases of the project.
Contribute to the writing of an approved project report.
Take part in organizing the exhibition.
Write an approved individual home assignment.
