Content and Aim
The course consists of lectures, seminars and exercises based on a couple of central themes. Each theme is presented in a lecture and students are then given practical experience through assignments or exercises. The theme is then concluded by a discussion to reflect upon the practical experiences. The themes studied include:
- Core concepts and main theoretical frameworks
- Methods to identify user requirements
- Selection criteria for studies and what consequences these have
- Consequences of the context of studies
- Mediation artifacts
- Theoretical and empirical perspectives
Learning outcome
- Understand what aspect affects the information gathered in methods for interaction analysis
- Identify user requirements through user studies
- Evaluate design solutions regarding user requirements
- Plan and execute interaction analysis studies
