This semester you have to register online in LPW at the Student
portal. The registration is obligatory in order to attend the course. Note that you need to register yourself on the course the same day as the first lecture otherwise you will lose your place.

- September 6: If you want to get your exam (and
re-exam), you can do so at Lindholmen's study administration
(Jupiter building) after Monday Sep 16.
- September 3: The re-exams have been corrected and the
grades reported; they
will be available in Ladok in the incoming days. If you want to see
and discuss about your exam I will be available in my office (room
5482 at EDIT building, Johanneberg's campus) on Friday September 6, 11:00-12:00.
- June 18: The exams have been corrected; the grades
will be available in Ladok in the incoming days. If you want to see
and discuss about your exam I will be available in my office (room
5482 at EDIT building, Johanneberg's campus) on Thursday June 20
11:00-11:55, and on Friday June 21 10:00-11:00.
- May 22: Slides of the revision lecture as well as the
ModelJUnit examples for separate code for the adapter and the model
have been uplaoded (thanks to your colleague Erik Lindqvist for
sharing his ModelJUnit code).
- May 20: NOTE: Chalmers' remote servers have been down for a
few days and it was not possible to upload recent information since
Thursday last week. See un update of recent activities in the
entries below labeleled May 20.
- May 20: There will be a revision lecture on Wed May
22 (usual time and place).
- May 20: Assignment 7, and slides of the lecture by John
Hughes and Thomas Arts are now online.
- May 20: Note that the time of the exam has changed: it
will take place on June 1st at 8:30 (at Lindholmen).
- May 8: The last lecture of the course on Wed May 22 is a
revision lecture, dedicated to review those parts of the course the
students would like to see again. For that purpose I have asked the
student representatives to gather information from you all on what
you would like to revise. Please tell your representatives what you
would like to revise no later than Wed May 15.
- May 8: Samples of MBT exams have been uploaded in the course
page (under the Examination tab, end of page).
- May 6: If you need some background on functional
programming (for the remaining lectures on QuickCheck) read the
proposed online tutorial under the "Literature" tab (end of
page). I also strongly suggest that you ask for help to other students with knowledge
on functional programming, in particular Haskell.
- May 6: Remember that there is no lecture on Wednesday May
8 in the morning. The assignment session, however, will take place as normal in the afternoon.
- May 6: Note that there is a mistake on slide 11 of lecture
7: instead of "M2: dcge (4 hs)" it should be "M2: acge (4 hs)".
- May 6: The student representatives have been elected (see
the names above in this page).
- May 6: In the meeting with the student representatives
today, we have discussed different issues concerning the course. It
seems that the pace and content is OK in general, so no big concerns in
that sense though we have discussed suggestions for
improvement. This is a summary of the outcome of the meeting:
1. Assignment 4 seems to be too much focused on programming and not much on testing -> Proposal for next year: Try to give more of the code and get more testing for the students to do.
2. Assignment 5 was too short/easy. Proposal for next year: give a more complex scenario.
3. It seems to be a general concern on modeling using EFSM: it is
difficult (this has already been a concern last year and an action
has been taken this year by adding one full lecture on interactive
exercises to practice defining EFSMs). Please contact your student
representatives if you have any further comment.

- April 24: Remember that on Mon Apr 29 there is no lecture,
but an assignment session - assignment 5 on EFSM (9:00-12:00). No lecture on Wed May 1st.

- April 17: Remember that on Monday Apr 22 there
will be 2 lectures instead of one, starting at 08:15 (instead
of at 09:00).
- April 17: Slides of lecture 6 has been uploaded.Note that
a remark have been added to the slides concerning All-Round-Trips as
discussed during the lecture today. Also, as for previous lecture some pictures taken from Utting & Legeard's book have been
deleted from the slides for copyright reasons; a note on where in
the book to find them has been added instead.

(this concerns the confirmation of the guest lectures by Thomas Arts

- March 13: A preliminary schedule of the lectures and of
assignments has been uploaded (see the corresponding tab in the
navigation menu).
- March 12: Note that though the time scheduled for the lectures
on Mondays is 8:15-12:00, the first lecture on Mon March 18 will
start at 9:00. The lecture room is Jupiter 243 (Lindholmen).
