The administrative mills have finished churning and all results should be in LADOK by now. For those of you who are curious, furious, or anywhere in between regarding our grading of your exams, we will hold a review session on Friday, over lunch (12-13), in room EDIT 4128. I will be there, your exams will be there, a few of the assistants will possibly be there, and I hope you will be there too.

The review session is a chance for you to have a look at your exam in our presence, and ask us about our assessment and grading of your exam. Possibly even a chance to complain about it and have us accede to some more points. Regardless of your result, whether you're close to some limit or not, I personally think that reviewing is a great opportunity for learning that you shouldn't miss out on.

  • What: Exam reviews
  • When: Friday, Mar 30, lunch (12-13)
  • Where: EDIT 4128 (floor 4V, the opposite end of the corridor from the study administration)
2012-03-16 The exams have been collected, corrected, filed and de-anonymized. What remains is for me to fill in and sign the final result forms and hand those back to the study admins, who will then enter them into LADOK.
What this means is that for the next few days, at least over the weekend, I have all the exams and results readily at hand, properly de-anonymized. Thus, if you want to know your result, send me a mail at niklas.broberg@chalmers.se (NOT at this address, and especially not to this list) containing your name and personal number. I will then reply with your result.
Statistics: 111 students wrote the exam. 93 passed, 18 failed => 83.8% success rate. 58 got a 3/G; 29 scored a 4/VG; 6 managed a 5/VG.
2012-01-25 Another edit to the programming assignment, this time for task 2. There is now a third item clarifying the need for extra constraints: "Argue for any extra constraints necessary in your schema. In particular, address the issue concerning a student's programme and branch."
2012-01-25 Two small corrections to the programming assignment: First, I had managed to get all the deadlines wrong, of course it should be 2012; Second, you do not need to supply types for the attributes in your relations for task 1.
2012-01-21 The Fire system is now online, for submitting your lab assignments. Follow the steps listed on the assignment submission page to register and submit your tasks.
2012-01-16 The programming assignment is now available for those who want an early start. Note however that the Fire system is not yet up and running, so you cannot submit your tasks yet.
2012-01-16 Lecture slides are now online for the first lecture. In the future I hope to have them available more than 2 hours in advance.
2012-01-12 Course web page (aka this page) set up.
